The Faculty of Engineering at Kafrelsheikh University is always keen on linking the academic aspect with practical application, through continuous collaboration with various organizations that provide excellent training opportunities for the students of the faculty within the framework of the national strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. These initiatives not only equip them with technical skills but also instill in them a spirit of innovation and the ability to face labor market challenges with confidence and competence. We are proud of our students who prove every time that they are capable of excellence and achieving top positions in various fields. This reflects that the Faculty of Engineering enjoys distinguished leadership under Professor Dr. Abdel Fattah Heliel, the Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of a conscious administration that plays a pivotal role in building a real bridge between students and the labor market through continuous communication with ministries, industrial authorities, companies, and research institutions that announce specialized grants and training programs.
The college aims through these initiatives to equip its students with the practical and technical skills required in the local and global job market, and to promote a spirit of positive competition among them to reach top positions, achieve scientific excellence, and foster engineering innovation. This integration of academic education with practical training is what creates an engineer capable of creativity and of transforming theoretical knowledge into applications that serve society. Outstanding students of the Faculty of Engineering at Kafrelsheikh University have been granted a training scholarship from the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation. As part of the ministry's efforts to support young talents and build the capacities of university students in the fields of water and irrigation, several distinguished students from the Faculty of Engineering at Kafrelsheikh University were honored for receiving a training scholarship provided by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, in recognition of their excellence and commitment during their participation in the summer training program organized by the Regional Center for Water Resources and Irrigation Training (RCTWS).
Professor Dr. Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation awarded students training grant certificates during the Water Sustainability Hackathon session, as part of the Cairo Water Week 2025 activities, in recognition of the performance level and commitment demonstrated by the students throughout the training period, and for the models they presented that reflect their awareness of water issues and the use of modern technology in finding innovative and sustainable solutions. The grant will be implemented through training students within the ministry's various sectors, providing them with the opportunity for practical application and gaining field experience that contributes to preparing a new generation of engineers capable of supporting the state's digital transformation and efficient water resources management initiatives.
This program comes as part of the ministry's strategy to empower youth and build capacities, and reflects the ministry's keenness to sustain this fruitful cooperation with Egyptian universities to qualify young cadres to serve the water sector.
