Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, reviews a report presented by Dr. Amr Abu Hani, Executive Director of the Project Management and Information Unit, about the unit’s harvest, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abu Wali, Director of the Quality Assurance Center.

The report states that in the field of educational effectiveness, quality and accreditation, five projects of support and development of the educational effectiveness in the higher education institutions (SDEE) have been completed in the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Fisheries, Nursing and Education, with a total amount of 12.5 million Egyptian pounds allocated from the Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Higher Education and an amount of 5 million Egyptian pounds from the university budget.

A contract has also been signed for 2 projects of support and development of the educational effectiveness in the higher education institutions (SDEE) in the Faculties of Computers and Information and Arts, with a total of 4 million Egyptian pounds from the Development Projects Management Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education, and an amount of 3 million Egyptian pounds from the university budget.

The report adds that in the field of international accreditation of laboratories, three Rehabilitation of laboratories for international accreditation Projects at the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital have been completed, which are the clinical toxicology laboratory, the microbiology laboratory and the flu laboratory, with a total of 7.5 million pounds from the budget of the project management unit and the university. As well, a contract has been signed to develop 2 labs for accurate measurements of nanotechnology applications in dentistry and gum treatment at the Faculty of Dentistry, and a laboratory for analyzing drugs, pharmaceuticals and biological compounds at the Faculty of Pharmacy, with a total of “5 million and 760 thousand pounds” from the budget of the project management unit and the university.

The report points out that in the field of measurement, evaluation, and practical and oral tests, three development projects for the measurement and evaluation systems at the university have been completed, which include the establishment of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at the university and the number of 2 centers in the Faculties of Physical Education and Arts, with a total budget of 3 million and 300 thousand Egyptian pounds.

The report indicates that in the field of entrepreneurship, a project of establishing the Entrepreneurship Center has been completed, with a total budget of one and a half million.

 

In the field of student excellence, 2 student excellence projects have been completed in the Faculties of Agriculture and Fisheries, with a total amount of 150,000 Egyptian pounds. In the field of programmatic and institutional accreditation, the Psychology program has been accredited in the Department of Psychology - Faculty of Arts. Also, 4 programs have been approved at the Faculty of Specific Education, and they are (art education teacher preparation programs, home economics teacher preparation program, educational media program specializing in journalism, radio and television, and educational media program specializing in School Theater).
