Kafrelsheikh University’s monthly council meeting, chaired by the President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky and attended by Governor Major General Dr. Alaa Abd El-Moaty, is held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, to review academic and research matters and discuss current developments.
Dr. Desouky congratulates the university community on the approaching end of the academic year, praising the organized and calm atmosphere during final exams. He urges faculties to expedite correcting papers and result announcements, especially for bachelor's and licentiate students.
The council reviews key achievements across the university’s sectors in June 2025, including student affairs sector, postgraduate studies and research sector, and community service and environmental development sector, highlighting the numerous events and workshops held during the month.
Governor Dr. Abd El-Moaty commends the university for achieving high positions in recent international rankings and for the presidential decree establishing Kafrelsheikh National University, which will begin operating in the 2025/2026 academic year.
He also praises the new medical city which is built to the highest standards and equipped with all the necessary facilities to serve all citizens of the governorate and neighboring governorates. He also congratulates the university on its imminent opening.
Major General Dr. Alaa Abd El-Moaty, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, presents a review of the latest developments in the governorate, most notably the restructuring of many of the governorate's roads, the maintenance of sewage networks, and the contracting with cleaning companies. This is in line with Kafrelsheikh's commitment to always being at the forefront and to eliminating the obstacles and problems facing all citizens.
The president also thanks the students of the Faculty of Specific Education for their work in creating artistic murals on the governorate's walls, praising their efforts in presenting Kafrelsheikh Governorate in a wonderful light.
Dr. Desouky expresses pride in the establishment of Kafrelsheikh National University, emphasizing unified efforts to uphold the university’s reputation both locally and globally.
Council Decisions:
· Approval of Kafrelsheikh University’s Five-Year Strategic Plan (2025-2030)
· Granting Academic promotions and appointments: (1 Professor, 4 Associate Professors, 10 Lecturers)
· Awarding master's degrees to 30 researchers and doctoral degrees to 8 researchers
· Awarding professional master’s degrees to 19 and professional doctorates to 14 researchers.
