Advanced Positions for Kafrelsheikh University in University Ranking by Academic Performance for 2024/2025

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces that the University ranks No 755th globally among 3,000 universities in University Ranking by Academic Performance for 2024/2025, advancing 79 places from the previous year. The University also ranks the ninth place among the 37 Egyptian universities included in the ranking.

The president explains that this ranking is based on the outputs of scientific production, which are obtained from several reliable and widely known data sources, including several research platforms, including Web of Science (Clarivate - inCites), to measure the ranking indicators, which are represented by the number of articles, which represents 21% of the relative weight of the ranking, the number of citations, which represents 21% of the relative weight of the ranking, the total impact of articles, which represents 18% of the relative weight of the ranking, the total impact of citations, which represents 15% of the relative weight of the ranking, international cooperation, which represents 15% of the relative weight of the ranking, and the total number of documents, which represents 10% of the relative weight of the ranking.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky points out that this ranking is a strong international recognition of the university's progress in scientific research, pointing out that international rankings contribute significantly to improving the international reputation of the university in particular and Egypt in general in the field of higher education and scientific research, praising the efforts of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector in encouraging staff members, assistant staff, and researchers to improve scientific research output and publish research in prestigious international and local scientific journals.

 Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Ismail El-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, points out that the university advances 79 places compared to last year and it reflects the university's ongoing efforts to develop and improve education and scientific research, confirming the university's constant commitment to taking serious and rapid steps to reach the level of prestigious universities globally, providing all the necessary capabilities to promote the educational and research system, in addition to providing ongoing support to researchers and innovators.
