The Launch of a Comprehensive Medical Awareness Convoy for Al-Khasha’a Village 64, as a Continuation of the University’s Efforts in the Presidential Initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building”

Thursday, 31/10/2024, the university launches a medical convoy for Al-Khasha’a Village 64 and the neighboring villages in Hamoul Center, under the patronage of the President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic; Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, within the framework of launching the National Human Development Project “A New Beginning for Human Building”, based on the assignments of the President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, to implement various programs, activities and services that include all age groups and cover all governorates of the Republic. This project is a reflection of the political leadership’s vision towards building an advanced and integrated society, as a result of the joint collective work of all ministries and state agencies, within the framework of the university’s role in contributing to the implementation of the state’s plan and the directives of the political leadership to build generations capable of keeping pace with the serious steps of the Egyptian state in building the modern state and contributing to achieving its goals according to Vision 2030, and in belief in the university’s role in serving the community within the villages of Kafrelsheikh Governorate.

The convoy is supervised in the field by Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and followed up by Mr Nafeh Hamada, Director General of the General Administration of Environmental Projects.

A number of specialized professors from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Arts participate in the convoy, as a large number of citizens are examined in various medical specialties, which include “Ophthalmology - Dermatology - Cardiovascular - Pediatric - Neuro Surgery - Urology - Cardio-thoracic Surgery - Orthopedic Surgery - Internal Medicine - Diabetes and Endocrinology - General Surgery - Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Dentistry – Prosthetics.” Nursing services such as measuring blood sugar, weight, height, blood pressure, how to care for diabetic feet, anemia for children, and guidance for women on reproductive health and children on proper nutrition to prevent malnutrition, as well as psychological and family counseling for citizens.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, confirms that the University will continue to launch medical convoys to the most needy cities and villages across the country. The convoy includes an elite group of staff members representing various specializations from distinguished cadres from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Arts.

 

Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, points out that the convoy addresses the awareness aspect of combating illegal immigration, and a number of psychological counseling sessions are held by staff members at the Faculty of Arts. A large number of residents of Al-Khasha’a village 64, Al-Hamoul Center, are also medically examined, bringing the total number of cases that are medically examined to 1,046, by a group of distinguished and specialized doctors in various specialties, as part of the New Beginning for Human Building Initiative. Drugs are also provided for free to all patients visiting the convoy’s headquarters.
