The university launches the activities of the Egyptian Universities Sports Festival (BE FIT), which is organized by the Sports Activity Department of the General Administration of Student Welfare at the university, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, from the 4th to the 7th of this March, under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, and the follow-up and implementation of the Sports Activity Department in the General Administration of Student Welfare at the University.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, states that organizing the festival is within the framework of the directives of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, towards raising physical fitness rates, and based on the University’s keenness to provide a suitable environment for practicing student activities as it is one of the most important pillars and foundations of the university work system, praising the cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the various activities that are being implemented in order to support and nurture the talented and distinguished, adding that the university pays great attention to the sports aspect, for its positive role in the physical and moral education of youth, in addition to contributing to preparing a generation of young people with integrated personalities capable of giving and production.
Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, welcomes the attendees, expressing his happiness at the joint cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in implementing student activities that aim to develop university students in line with the directives and recommendations of the political leadership regarding the need to pay attention to developing and cultivating the skills and capabilities of Egyptian youth, thanking the Student Welfare Department for the good organization of the festival.
On the other hand, representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Kafrelsheikh points to the great efforts made by the Ministry to provide all support and care to encourage students to practice sports activities, by preparing a comprehensive and integrated plan that keeps pace with the needs and capabilities of university students.
