Under the Patronage of President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic…. Medical and Veterinary Convoys to Motobas within the "Dignified Life" Initiative


 

 

Under the patronage of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, Kafrelsheikh University launches a medical and veterinary convoy to the Motobas Center, within a dignified life initiative, as it is organized by the General Administration of Youth Welfare, the community service and environmental development sector at the university and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, represented by the Central Administration for Youth Development, Drug Control Fund, and the Directorates of Health Affairs and Veterinary Medicine, today, Monday, 9/1/2023, to serve the people of the village of “Bani Bakkar” and the neighboring villages of the Motobas Center.

The President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, states that these convoys come within the initiative of the President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, "A Dignified Life" to provide human, veterinary, agricultural, and extension medical services and awareness in various fields for free for citizens in remote areas, and to confirm the university's community and positive role for the people of the villages within its scope, as the university aims to promote health, social, environmental and intellectual development and to provide a distinguished medical service for those who are unable to be implemented by specialized professors from various faculties in order to benefit from the specialized scientific competencies of the university.

Dr. Desouky adds that all patients, numbering "1946" citizens, are examined for free by a group of specialized and distinguished doctors in various specialties, and free drugs are given to all patients who visit the convoy.

The president indicates that the comprehensive convoy is actively interested in developing health awareness under the supervision of specialized professors from the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing and Veterinary Medicine via the specializations of: “Ophthalmology - Dermatology - Cardiovascular - Pediatric - Neuro Surgery - Urology - Cardio-thoracic Surgery - Orthopedic Surgery - Internal Medicine - Diabetes and Endocrinology - General Surgery - Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Dentistry – Prosthetics”.

Dr. Desouky mentions that the convoy also includes a private clinic from the Faculty of Nursing to measure blood sugar, weight, height, blood pressure, and provide guidance to women and children in personal care and proper nutrition, while providing special awareness for the prevention of diabetes and pressure, how to take care of diabetic foot and children's anemia, and instructions for women on reproductive health and children on proper nutrition to prevent malnutrition.

 

The president says that the veterinary convoy, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Musa, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the presence of Dr. Amin Abd El-Hadi Tahoun, Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases, and Dr. Atef Oreibi, Assistant Professor of Animal Medicine, manages to treat 842 cases in the village of "Bani Bakkar", and disburses Veterinary medicines needed for farmers for free, in addition to educating farmers and livestock breeders on many sound veterinary instructions, stressing that this convoy is among the convoys witnessed by the villages of the governorate to provide veterinary services to farmers and treat livestock and birds.
