Announcement of competitive awards for the academic year 2020/2021 provided to the state by the Government of Denmark in accordance with the executive program


  

 

The Cultural Affairs and Missions sector announces grants from the Danish side as follows:

One scholarship for a period of 10 months to collect the necessary scientific material for the PhD

One scholarship for a period of 5 months to collect the necessary scientific material for the Master.

Number of one scholarship for a period of 5 months for undergraduate students at the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University to study Danish language or Danish literature.

Conditions for applying for Masters and PhD scholarships:

The applicant must not be over 35 years old to collect the Ph.D. scientific subject - 32 years for a master’s degree on 1/9/2020.

The candidate must be of Egyptian nationality and one of the assistants for the members of the teaching staff in the Egyptian governmental universities, institutes, bodies, or research centers included in the scholarship plan.

That the applicant occupies the position of assistant teacher or its equivalent for applicants for the collection of Ph.D. scientific material - as a teaching assistant or equivalent for applicants for the collection of the scientific material required for the master's degree.

The period of service in the workplace shall not be less than two years.

Scholarship data:

The Danish side presents 6,500 Danish kroner as a tax-free monthly expense in order to cover travel costs, entry visas and living expenses for only one person and there are no additional amounts for accompanying family members, (unless the granting party specifies other financial terms).

 

The deadline for these grants to be awarded to the donor is March 1, 2020.

Missions shall be borne (not by another party) by completing the value of the grant from the Danish side in accordance with the financial regulations of the missions determined for each delegation separately.

The documents required to apply for Masters scholarships and collect the necessary scientific material for a PhD:

A data form in Arabic approved by the employer - a letter from the employer addressed to the missions agreeing to the candidacy of the learner on the grant, stating that he has not been nominated for any of the grants or other missions, as well as providing information to send survey forms for the security authorities to agree to travel.

2 copies of the research plan - 2 copies of the curriculum vitae - 2 abstracts of the master's thesis (in English approved by the employer).

2 copies of the completed application form for grants (to be copied from the website of the Danish Embassy in Cairo).

The original candidate's passing certificate for the International TOEFL score of 60 or IBT score of 6 or IELTS score unless the granting side requests a higher score.

2 true copies in English of Bachelor's degree - estimates of years of study - Master's degree.

Two copies of the passport, valid for a period of no less than 3 years.

Evidence of the student’s registration for a PhD degree in the country for applicants to collect the necessary scientific material for the doctorate.

Evidence of student registration for a master’s degree in the home country for applicants to collect the necessary scientific material for the master’s degree.
