Central
Department of Mission announces about opening the door for applying for
external mission to get double Doctorate from Alabama Birmingham University,
USA and the University of Alexandria according to agreements between them in
the following specialisms:
1) Biomedical
Engineering
2) Civil
Engineering – Sustainable Engineering Design& Construction
The
study will begin in spring of the academic year 2014/2015 and its period is
three years (two years in Egypt and one year in United Sates of America
- The terms of Application:
1) The
applicant should be administrator or assistant researcher obtaining Master's
Degree or assistant lecturer or assistant researcher in one of authorities
listed in missions plan provided if:
A) The
applicant should not be more than 30 years old in announcement date according
to the article No 11 of missions law No 112 of the year 1959 and executive
committee is allowed, after taking the opinion of sending authority, to exceed
the age relating to public interest (with a maximum of two years).
B) The
applicant should register for Doctorate for no more than one year of
announcement date.
C) The
applicant should get Master's Degree in mission specialism:
1)
Biomedical
Engineering 2)
Civil Engineering:
- Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering
- Electromechanical Engineering Structural
Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
Architecture
- Bioengineering
Mechanical Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
- Production Engineering
Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Materials Engineering
- Computer Engineering and Systems Architecture (fine arts)
- Structural Engineering
- Materials Engineering
- Biotechnology

2) The
grade of university degree should be very good at least
3) The
applicant should get 550 degree in TOEFL or 79 degree in IBT or 6 degree in
IELTS test (language certificate should be presented before 29/12/2014) taking
into account the higher linguistic level required by Foreign Universities when
traveling
4) The
applicant should do military service or is exempted from it
5) It
is not allowed for the applicant to get mission or scholarship for Doctorate
before
6) Data
forms should be accredited from sending authority (accredited and sealed from
the faculty and university)
How
to enroll:
First:
the applicant applies in general management of mission (Tahrir complex, the
seventh floor) before 31/12/2014 with all documents:
1) Bachelor
certificate in English and statement of grades in all subjects in all years and
general grade in each academic year separately.
2) Master's
Degree certificate in English or its equivalent in appropriate comparable
specialism of announced specialisms of average GPA ?3.0 or equivalent.
3) Certificate
of registration date if the applicant registered for Doctorate
4) Valid
English language certificate (79 in IBT exam or 6 degrees in IELTS)
5) Research
plan certified from sending authority
6) Military
service certificate
7) The
approval of the employer for nomination
8) Data
form in Arabic and English certified from the employer.

The candidates enrolled in this program
will be treated the financial treatment of researchers on Egypt-Japan
University of Science and Technology E-JUST program
The
last day for receiving nominations is on Wednesday 31/12/2014, but for medical
engineering on Thursday 15/1/2015
