Prof. Dr. Abdel-Razek Desouky, President of the University, announced today, Wednesday, 11-4-220 AD that Kafr El-Sheikh University has been included for the first time in the list of the best 1100 universities in the world in the U.S. News 2021 ranking among more than 30 thousand universities spread around the world.
The university ranked 1056 globally, 37 in Africa, and 12 locally, and it is worth noting that 19 Egyptian governmental and private universities have been included in this classification.
Professor Hassan Yunus, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, explained that the US News classification relies on indicators to measure the research performance of academic and research institutions, and their international and regional reputation, and this classification is also based on the American Clarifit databases to measure scientific research indicators for universities around the world.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Razek Desouki, President of the University, praised the new achievement that was added by including the university in this classification, indicating that Kafr El-Sheikh University is moving seriously towards becoming a smart university that contributes to preparing a graduate with international specifications, enhancing the competition of its graduates at the local and international level. The important foundations in developing the university and increasing its international reputation.
Dr. Desouki said that the progress made by the university in international classifications is the result of the efforts of the university administration and thanked the academic leaders of the university, the faculty members, researchers, the assisting body, the administrative apparatus, the workers and the taxonomists
