Under the patronage of the President Prof Dr Abed el Raziq Dousoki and the supervision of the vice president for post-graduation and studies affairs Prof Dr Hasan Youness, in coordination with Dr Enas el Fadhli, the head of Technology Innovation and Commercialization Office (TICO) and the coordinator of International Relation and Cooperation Office, Kafrelsheikh University organizes, in cooperation with American Fulbright Commission, an introductory seminar for “Junior Faculty Development Program” to display the programs and the terms of application for training scholarship in various American Universities on teaching methods, the preparation of study programs and curriculums contents offered by the Commission to students as well as conducting researches in one of American Universities f or staff members in the fields of technology and renewable energy in the presence of Mr Aser Hany, the senior program officer. Mr Kareem Gerges, the assistant program officer, and Mr Mohamed Adel, Network Specialist and the head of Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector office.
As well, Mr Aser Hani, the Senior Program Officer at Fulbright, speaks about the Commission’s objectives: investing in human energy and cooperating with innovation and research centers to support scientific research, which aims to develop the professional abilities of staff members at Egyptian universities and higher institutes, granting a bachelor's degree via providing opportunities for scholarships for 10 weeks in some American universities in one of the following areas: Renewable Energy Sciences and Information Technology.
He adds that the program targets staff members, obtaining master’s degree with a minimum of five years of university teaching experience, staff members “doctoral students” with a minimum of three years of university teaching experience and staff members, obtaining a doctorate degree with a minimum of five years of university teaching experience. The deadline for application is on December 1, 2019 and this scholarship covers a monthly salary, the cost of travel to and from the United States, additional travel expenses, professional development expenses, accommodation and health insurance.
Otherwise, the President confirms that these programs includes Master's and Doctoral programs as well as programs for the preparation of leaders, specializations offered by the scholarship, how to apply and to be qualified for study and personal interview for students who meet the requirements of the scholarship.
Within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the university and the international scientific bodies, the university is keen to cooperate with the prestigious international scientific bodies in order to promote the young staff members via the available scientific programs.
