The fifth annual conference of the Cardiology Department at the Faculty of Medicine kicks off

 The Faculty of Medicine held the fifth annual conference of the Cardiology Department, under the patronage of Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of the University, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ismail El-Qan, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Amani Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Medicine, and under the supervision of Dr. Reda Bayoumi, Head of the Cardiology Department, Dr. Mohamed Salama, and Dr. Wael Hassib, in the Cardiology Department at the Faculty of Medicine at the University, which is held over two days, with the attendance of a group of faculty members from the Cardiology Department and other medical departments, and with the participation of an elite group of professors from various Egyptian universities. During his speech, Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of the University, welcomed the attendees from various Egyptian universities, thanking them for their hardship in traveling to attend the conference, stressing that the Cardiology Department is the main supporter of the medical service of Kafrelsheikh University Hospitals and one of the strengths of the Faculty of Medicine and its distinction among various Egyptian faculties and universities due to its factors of excellence, leadership, community service and scientific publishing.

 
Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky praised the pioneering scientific, research and service role of the Cardiology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, starting from diagnosis and follow-up of patients, in addition to the fact that it includes specialized medical devices that are the latest of their kind and internationally approved, which keep pace with everything new in global medical work and its participation in various presidential initiatives and health campaigns, which had a positive impact in providing medical and therapeutic services to patients visiting the university hospital.
 
The university president also called for the need to increase joint scientific degrees with medical departments due to the nature of the department's work and its integration with all other medical specialties, which is a confirmation of the university's strategy in achieving the element of integration between departments and the trend towards encouraging interdisciplinary and accurate research that contributes to raising the level of services provided and qualifying for the labor market and keeping pace with global developments in the medical field.
 
For his part, Dr. Ismail Al-Qan, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, praised the department's efforts and its role in upgrading university hospitals in general, whether diagnostic, therapeutic or research, which came as a result of the major boom that occurred in the department recently, directing his thanks to all the department's cadres for their cooperation with various university hospitals and medical departments in order to serve patients and alleviate their suffering, stressing the importance of developing scientific research and directing it towards tangible practical application, in a way that serves Egypt's vision 2030, hoping that the conference will come out with tangible recommendations on the ground that serve the outside community.
 
In the same context, Dr. Amani Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, extended her thanks and appreciation to the university administration headed by Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, for the efforts made and providing all means of support and care for the college, which witnessed a major medical boom, as well as for the medical system within Kafr El-Sheikh University, which contributed to raising the level of medical, therapeutic and diagnostic services provided to millions of patients visiting it from various Delta governorates.
 
For his part, Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, reviewed the efforts of the department and the development it witnessed, as well as the development of the administrative part of the department, praising the effective role of the Cardiology Department in the development of health services in Kafr El-Sheikh University hospitals. He also reviewed the distinguished efforts of the department's faculty members in the field of scientific research and international publishing, adding that the department has been keen to hold this conference periodically to review the latest developments in the field of cardiology with the aim of exchanging opinions and medical experiences between specialized professors from various Egyptian universities
