The President Witnesses the Training of Arts Center at Kafrelsheikh University


 

The President Prof Dr Abed el Raziq Dousoki, accompanied by a committee from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, attends the project of Arts Center at the university in the presence of the vice president for post-graduation studies and research Prof Dr Hasan Hasan Youness, Prof Dr Reda Salih, the vice president for community service and environment development affairs, the dean of Faculty of Specific Education Prof Dr Amany Mohammad Shaker and Dr Amira Okashah, the coach of the choir team of the arts centers at the university.

As well, these arts centers aim to erase the artistic illiteracy of the Universities youth in the fields of plastic arts, theatre, music and choir inside the 16 Governmental Universities for two academic years in the center. The students should be from non-specialized faculties of the first grades and have no prior experience in the fields that will be studied.

Otherwise, the dean of Faculty of Specific Education mentions that this center serves 70 students over the past two years and also provides workshops after the first year to spread the spirit of teamwork and refine the technical skills of the participants. The center concludes every season with a closing festival in which all universities present projects for the graduation of all teams with their graduation certificates approved by the Ministry of Youth.

The President stresses the importance of arts and student activities in the development of students' personality and that the various artistic fields play a major role in building their creative spirit, praising the superior and outstanding level of artistic works of the participating students.

He adds that the university seeks to motivate its students to participate in various activities outside the academic classrooms in order to diversify their interests, strengthen their skills and enhance their spirit of initiative, based on the belief of the university administration of the importance of the experiences that students will gain from these activities.
