Under the patronage of Prof Dr Abed el Raziq Dousoki and within the fruitful and constructive cooperation between the university and the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces led by the Major General Mr Khlaid Mustafa Tawfiq, the Military Education Department organizes a visit of a delegation of students of Faculty of Fisheries to Ghalioun Fishpond within the university plan implemented to the national projects.
The students have exposure to the National Project for Aquaculture in Kafrelsheikh which is one of the most ambitious projects that the country has made great strides in this field as it is the first of its kind in the Middle East and the African continent to bridge the food gap, support the national economy and provide thousands of jobs via relying on the latest scientific and technological means in aquaculture and processing, which are in line with modern scientific requirements.
As well, the students listen to a detailed explanation about the types of farming various fishes, and then they visit the Research, Training and Development Center and the hatchery unit for the production of “fry” for fish and shrimps in addition to factories and giant water and power plants.
Furthermore, Prof Dr Abed el Razik Dousoky, the President, said that the visit aims to instill the values of patriotism and belonging in the hearts of students and to see the giant national projects in Egypt in order to face the war of rumors against the homeland and allow students to know the projects that have been accomplished during the past period.
