Under the authority of the President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary and in the presence of the military counselor of Kafrelsheikh governorate the lieutenant Sameh el Tonoubi and Mr Mahmoud Bakry, the Chairman of newspaper “el usbue” and during the university celebration of its 13th anniversary, Kafrelsheikh University honors 385 persons of researchers, professors, awards’ winners and the deceased families.
At the beginning of his speech, the President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary welcomes the attendants and says that on this day of each year, we always meet on a good occasion to celebrate the owners of tender and the partners of success that are outstanding scientifically and administratively and winners of awards as well as staff members and employees who have provided their efforts and knowledge to their university and the families of the deceased in fulfillment of their loyalty and appreciation. Although the deceased have left their place, they did not leave their place in our hearts.
He adds that the day of tender represents the university research harvest within a year as we have been able in the past few years to establish an infrastructure of distinguished research laboratories, providing them with scientific instruments and modern technologies, disseminating the culture of scientific research, encouraging international publication through unconventional procedures and adopting a range of initiatives and ideas, which contributed to the development of academic and research performance and raising the status of the university among Egyptian universities and regional and global universities.
As well, El Kemary adds that we have made a history of achievements, thanking to Allah to see the results as the university wins the award of the best Egyptian University for 2018. This is confirmed by ranking advanced places in the global rankings as it ranks the place No 601 among the global universities in the British Times ranking in 2018, then in 2019, it advances to the place No 101 at the level of the global universities in the British Times ranking depending on it economic and social impact and it also has the world's 139th place in green eco-friendly universities ranking.
Furthermore, he mentions that despite the challenges facing Kafrelsheikh University, the university achieved ambitions that exceed all expectations as it has repeatedly affirmed that it does not believe in impossible and it is qualified to occupy an outstanding place among global universities via many strong pillars.
