Not only has Kafrelsheikh University achieved the first place at the level of Egyptian Universities during the current month of 2018 for achieving excellence in the scientific and research side, but it also has achieved this place for many factors for which the university gives preference. Kafrelsheikh University is one of nascent universities, which was affiliated with Tanta University and whose faculties were just classrooms which was affiliated with Ministry of Education in 1973. On April 19, 2006, the President issued a resolution No 129 about constructing Kafrelsheikh University as an independent university, including eight faculties. After 12 years, the university has occupied a distinguished position on Egyptian universities and in an unprecedented world order, after building 21 faculties and institutes, medical services buildings and university hospital.
The President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary said that the university witnesses an unprecedented development phase in its research and educational position and in the service of community as it has been able to achieve developments in the field of higher education in a relatively short period of time.
El Kemary adds to “el Youum el Sabie” that the university’s attention focused on community service and the presence among the poorest villages to provide medical services, conducting multiple analyzes and paying out medicines free of charge in addition to veterinary convoys for treating livestock and conducting a medical survey, stressing that the university has obtained the first positions at the level of Egyptian universities in many competition and inventions as it gets the first place in designing an electric car in electric cars rally, Egypt 2018.

As well, the president said that the university has provided many engineering consultations for the governance and there is full cooperation between the university and province in this regard and the university enables to sign a cooperation with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation to conduct 100 surgical operations for children between catheterization and congenital defects. The university also held protocols with 10 European and Asian Universities for cooperation among them in the field of scientific researches as well as a cooperation with FAO organization in the field of agricultural, fish and animal wealth and the establishment of “Confucius” Institute for teaching Chinese language and receiving Chinese students to learn Arabic Language.
Otherwise, el Kemary mentions that there is cooperation with “National Black Sand Company”, stressing that the university has conducted some advanced analyses by using modern techniques at Nano Technology and Science Institute and as a result, research team has discovered important components and materials that have a role in the treatment of musculoskeletal system diseases and some women diseases.
Finally, the president said that the university has established a unit for diagnosis and treatment of viruses in university hospitals. The unit was equipped with devices of diagnosis and analyses of viruses, especially hepatitis viruses. The drug was dispensed for staff members at Kafrelsheikh University via medical committee.
