El Kemary in a Visit to Germany to Strengthen Partnership with German Universities


 

The president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary did a three-day visit to Germany to support scientific cooperation and exchange among some German Universities and Kafrelsheikh University. In the beginning of the tour, he has visited Technische Universität Ilmenau University where he met with the director of Micro-Nano Center and its researchers to identify the potential and research trends in centers and services provided to many companies and industrial institutions in Germany.

As well, el Kemary discusses with the German Side the ways of academic cooperation and research partnership between the two universities in the field of Nanotechnology via the preparation of a partnership and twinning agreement which will be signed later, including training of researchers, organizing scientific meetings, exchange of information and experiences, exchange of researchers and students, hosting visiting professors and setting up a dual program in the field of Nanotechnology that will allow the student to obtain a certificate from both Technische Universität Ilmenau University and Nano Technology and Sciences Institute at Kafrelsheikh University in addition to marketing ideas and patents to companies to be converted into products.

El Kemary adds that he visited Friedrich Schiller University Jena and met the director of Federal Institute of Bacteriology to strengthen mutual research cooperation and transmit from cooperation stage to research partnership between the two universities. He also met researchers at the institute and discussed with them joint research project funded by German Foreign Ministry in addition to agreeing on holding a scientific conference at Kafrelsheikh University next week to support scientific cooperation between Germany and Egypt in the field of security and biosecurity.
