As part of the collaboration between the John Gerhart Center of the American University in Cairo and Kafrelsheikh University, the Center announces the launch of a 2018 Community Entrepreneurship Competition in collaboration with Savola Food Company to develop manufacturing methods in Egypt.
The competition aims to select the best 3 initiatives for students from the faculties of engineering and science in the field of energy saving to improve the efficiency of packing and reduce losses. The competition is divided into several stages as follows:
First: Choose the best 10 teams of students who are applying to attend workshops for two weeks to prepare them for the competition.
Second: The day of the competition: Each team will present its initiatives to the jury to choose the best 3 teams to win financial support for the implementation of the initiatives: the first prize is 30 thousand pounds, the second prize is 20 thousand pounds, and the third prize is 10 thousand pounds.
Third: The three teams undergo intensive training and workshops to qualify them to implement the initiatives during the months of November and December 2018.
