Under the authority of the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary, the university organizes today on Monday 29/2/2016 an Islamic symposium to face atheism in the Faculty of Science in the presence of a number of clerics in Al Azhar in open panel discussion led by the Sheikh Asem Rafat el Kotamy, the Sheikh Osama Abed el Rahman and the vice president for environment development Prof Dr Ali Abu Shoshaa and the dean. The idea of symposium comes from talking about the idea of atheism in media in the past period, so the university asks for organizing panel discussion to answer the suspicions that motive the young people to atheism and the Al Azhar sheikhs mention that some people displace his mind to metaphysical questions that need logical answer from specialist cleric.

As well, he assures that the main reasons for spreading out the atheism in the last period is the lack of proper understanding of religion and centrist Islamic history and the simulation of cultures of European countries and against religion and the phenomenon of divergence fatwas among religion scientists that lead to the dispersion of thought through some media programs and unreliable web sites to execute foreign agendas, spread destructive rumors and disbelieve in Islamic religion as well as the absence of mental discourse to address the young people as they are the wealth and hope of Islamic nation, so they have should characterized by acumen, nationality and not being misled by malicious rumors that destroyed homeland.
