Department Objectives:

The department follows with great interest all scientific developments that occur in the specialization it offers in order to meet the renewable needs year after year within the framework of international scientific competitiveness. This is in addition to the department’s continuous endeavor to be an academic leader among its peers at the local and regional levels, and its aspiration to compete at the international level in light of a system of building bridges of cooperation and scientific partnership with the corresponding departments of other universities and institutions of the business community in particular and the Egyptian society in general. From this standpoint, the department seeks to achieve the following objectives:

-        Development of students’ skills and abilities in order  to think with scientific methods through analyzing economic problems, evaluating alternatives and providing appropriate solutions to them by focusing on statistical programs, computer use, and data analysis.

-        Providing a distinguished educational economic program that keeps pace with the latest economic education programs in world universities.

-        Contribute to serving the Egyptian community in general, and the Kafr El-Sheikh community in particular, by linking theoretical concepts with practical aspects and spreading a culture of economic awareness.

-        Developing the students’ mental perceptions in the department in the field of various business by linking the student with everything new in economic sciences in light of the close cooperation relations with the corresponding faculties, associations and institutions of the public and private sectors to achieve the greatest scientific and applied benefit.

-        Graduating economic competencies specialized in various fields in order to create human cadres capable of contributing to meeting the current and future economic needs of society and managing state institutions on sound scientific foundations.

-        Contribute to the development and deepening of economic thought through conducting specialized scientific research and studies in various fields, consolidating cultural ties, and exchanging international experiences.

-        Encouraging scientific research and economic studies that serve the community.
