Department Chair's Speech:

Welcome, my  students of the Department of Economics and Public Finance, Faculty of Commerce, Kafr El-Sheikh University. I  and my colleagues  are pleased to welcome you to the department, which is one of the modern departments that was opened in the Faculty of Commerce, Kafr El-Sheikh University in 2015/2016.

The importance of the Department of Economics and Public Finance stems from the expansion of economic activity, and its coverage of all aspects of life, whether at the micro or macro level.

The Department of Economics and Public Finance aims to graduate qualified scientific cadres in the specialization of economics and public finance to work in various state bodies and institutions, the ability to solve contemporary life economic problems, and an understanding of the various variables in the economic environment, the direction and level of their impact, and the importance of economic and financial policies of various kinds and their impact on the level of the individual, society and enterprise. and the economy as a whole.

The Department of Economics and Public Finance also seeks to keep pace with scientific developments through an advanced scientific program for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, taking into account the requirements of the labor market and contributing to deepening the relationship between the university and society and benefiting from the experiences of international universities that offer programs similar to the department’s program. The department also seeks to encourage scientific research in the field of economics and public finance and contribute to finding ways to confront economic challenges at the local, regional and international levels through the full support of faculty members and their assistants in the field of scientific research in addition to organizing conferences, seminars and specialized workshops.

Finally, I urge our students to show noble morals and the behavior of unique university student.
