4- Conducting a seminar on analyzing business transactions from a historical perspective within the activities of the quality assurance unit






In the framework of the activities of the quality assurance unit. On Monday, November 20, 2017, a seminar on the analysis of commercial transactions was held from a historical perspective presented by Prof. Dr. Sulaiman Hussein, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History, Faculty of Arts, Kafr El-Sheikh University.

 

The main purpose of this seminar was to introduce students to the historical development of trade through historical eras.

 

Dr. Sulaiman Hussein talked about the concept and types of commercial transactions since the barter transactions based on the exchange of goods between the members of the community and then the emergence of sales and buying currencies and the emergence of markets and trade trips in the Arab world and the European

 

His Excellency reviewed the stages of commercial development of the Mamluks and the Ottoman Empire in the Arab world. His Excellency also reviewed the commercial development in Old Europe and the Portuguese trade trips through the Cape of Good Hope to transport the products of India to Europe.

 

He also explained the nature of the organizational structure of trade operations and market management in Egypt during the Mamluk period, which consisted of Shahbandar Traders, Sheikh Al-Souk, Shari'a Judge, Sheikh Al-Dalalain and the Market Writer.

 

He explained the industrial revolution that took place in Europe and the consequent change in the economy and trade and the emergence of European colonies to obtain raw materials and the sale of European products to colonial countries.

 

It is worth mentioning that Mr. Abdul Aziz Marzouk, Assistant Professor of Management and Head of Business Administration at the College, participated in this useful symposium. The seminar was organized by the Quality Assurance Unit and a group of outstanding students who are members of the faculty's quality team.
