Brief history: -
The Faculty of Arts - University of Kafrelsheikh in the city of Kafrelsheikh was established, and the study began there in the academic year 1992AD/1993AD as classrooms belonging to the Faculty of Arts - Tanta University, then it became independent with the independence of Kafrelsheikh University on 1/8/2006 AD in order to support human thought - as one of the cultural beacons Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate, through:
Preparing researchers specialized in languages, literature and humanities to serve the community and achieve communication between Arab culture and foreign cultures.
Participation in the development of society through: Conducting research that contributes to solving community problems and participating in setting development strategies in its various fields.
1- The Faculty of Arts at Kafrelsheikh University consists of the following departments:
Department of Arabic Language and Literature
Department of English Language and Literature
Department of French language and literature
Department of Oriental Languages and Literature, which is divided in the second year into (Islamic Languages Division - Hebrew Language Division)
Department of Sociology
The Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems, which is divided into the third grade into (Geography and Geographical Information Systems Division and Maps and Geographical Information Systems Division)
Department of Libraries and Information
Department of Media is divided into the third grade into (Press Division - Radio and Television Division - Public Relations Division).
Department of History
Department of Philosophy, which is divided into the third grade into (General Division - Division of Political Philosophy)
Department of Psychology
Department of Archeology, which is divided into the second grade into (Egyptian antiquities - Islamic antiquities - Greek and Roman antiquities)
Surveying and mapping program
The duration of study to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree is four academic years. The academic year for each grade is divided into two semesters, and the courses of the first semester are completed by the exam at the end of the first semester, and the student's result - pass or fail - is announced at the end of the academic year (second semester).
