President of Kafrelsheikh University: 2 billion pounds, to support the emergency hospital and oncology center

 Dr. Abdel Razek Desouki, President of Kafrelsheikh University, said that the university has witnessed a boom over the past seven years.

 
He explained that the university hospital has a capacity of 433 beds, 12 emergency units, 63 intensive care beds, 13 operating rooms with a capsule system, a unit for catheterization and heart surgery, an endoscopy unit, the digestive system, and the bile duct. The approximate cost of the hospital amounted to more than 370 million, including government funding. With 300 million pounds, donations from families of 23 million, and self-financing from the university 47 million.
 
Kafrelsheikh University is witnessing the establishment of an emergency hospital on an area of 4,700 square meters, 9 floors high, with a capacity of about 400 beds, and an oncology center located on an area of 2,200 square meters with a capacity of 35 beds. This is to determine the construction status and follow up on the implementation stages of the two projects.
 
He stressed that the total cost of the emergency hospital and the oncology center amounts to about 2 billion pounds, and the work is being implemented in 3 stages, and the equipment for the oncology center has been contracted, noting that the two projects will provide distinguished medical service to the Delta governorates.
