Today Tuesday 8/9/2020, under the authority of the President Prof Dr Abed El-Raziq Dosouki, Deans Council holds its monthly meeting to discuss and review the developments and monthly topic presented to the council in the presence of the vice president for post-graduation studies and research Prof Dr Hasan Youness, the vice president for community service and environment development affairs and the deans.
The President thanks the deans for taking and following up the necessary precautionary measures before and during the exams, praising the university’s maintenance for the third year in a row of its scientific and academic level in the British Times Ranking 202 and the performance of the university academic leaders, staff members, the administrative body, workers and those in charge of ranking.
As well, the President discusses with the deans the preparations for the new academic year via preparing study plans, distributing curriculums for the new academic year 2020/2021, completing the preparation of the assignment plan for the faculties before the beginning of the academic year, and preparing laboratory supplies such as glass and chemicals for the unified procurement procedure.
Otherwise, the president stresses on the implementation of precautionary measures, which included disinfection and sterilization of auditoriums before and between lectures, the system of students' attendance and departure from their faculties, the system for receiving lessons, lectures and practical training in practical faculties, the procedures for practicing activities, and the application of procedures for entry and exit to avoid crowding, and to maintain physical distancing two meters in heavy-traffic areas. The procedures also included determining the percentage of students based on the size of the university’s teaching halls and also included identifying an official in each faculty of the medical administration who handles with Emergency cases, follows-up and monitor the application of health and safety procedures.
He also directs that the academic and administrative leaderships of the various faculties should cooperate with the units of technology and information systems in their faculties in order to provide the required information to the committee formed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Communications in order to develop a road map for converting the university into a smart "university", based on the visit that took place during the period from 9/1/2020 to 3/9/2020.
The President stresses the speedy preparation of the data required to obtain the identification certificates for the academic year 2019/2020 with officials of education and students affairs and officials of information technology units in the university colleges and the speed completion of the emergence of results.
