Dr. Mohamed Elkalaawy

Dr. Mohamed Elkalaawy is a bariatric surgeon and an associate professor of Surgery. He works in the Bariatric and metabolic surgery unit at University College London Hospital in the UK.
He has been practicing bariatric surgery since 2005 and currently works in a leading bariatric unit in the UK. Academically, He is a senior Lecturer at the University of London and an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Alexandria, Egypt where he originally comes from.
Mohamed is involved in bariatric surgery training and teaching programs in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He has been involved in multiple research programs with multiple peers reviewed publications and presentations including Nature Journal.
He is a member of the British Society of Bariatric Surgery (BOMSS) and the International Federation of Obesity Surgery (IFSO).
