Within the framework of Kafrelsheikh University’s commitment to nurturing student talents, supporting cultural and artistic activities, and enhancing the University’s role in building a well-rounded student personality, the General Administration for Student Care announces the launch of the University Theater Forum.

The University invites all talented students in the fields of acting, directing, scriptwriting, set design, lighting, and theatrical music to participate in the forum’s activities. The event serves as a genuine platform for discovering and refining creative energies, with the aim of presenting distinguished theatrical performances that reflect the awareness and creativity of the University’s students.

The organization of the forum continues the University’s approach to supporting student activities as one of the core pillars for building the individual. It stems from a belief in the civilized role of University Theater in developing cultural awareness, instilling values of belonging and national identity, and enhancing communication skills, teamwork, and leadership among youth. This aligns with the state’s orientation toward developing the creative capacities of university students.

Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirms that the University views University Theater as a comprehensive school for shaping conscious personalities and an elevated platform for expressing ideas and national values. He points out that the University continues to provide all forms of support for cultural and artistic activities that contribute to discovering talents, refining students’ abilities, and preparing a generation capable of creativity, innovation, and shouldering responsibility.

He adds that the University believes every student possesses a talent that deserves to be discovered and nurtured. Therefore, the University is keen on providing a stimulating university environment for creativity, where theater serves as a space for learning, expression, and building self-confidence. Theater is not merely an artistic activity, but a means of shaping individuals and developing their awareness and culture.

On his part, Prof. Rushdi El-Adawy, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and General Coordinator of Student Activities, states that the University seeks to graduate cadres who combine scientific excellence with cultural and artistic sensibility. This contributes to preparing graduates who are capable of competing and serving their country. He confirms that student activities are a fundamental partner in the educational process and contribute to developing the spirit of teamwork, belonging, and social responsibility.

The forum features an artistic and cultural competition aimed at discovering distinguished theatrical talents and selecting the best performances to represent the University in various university theater forums and festivals.

The forum is expected to showcase diverse theatrical performances that reflect the creativity of the University’s students and their ability to use art to discuss societal and national issues. This strengthens Kafrelsheikh University’s message in supporting culture and creativity, and in discovering a new generation of talented individuals capable of representing the University honorably in various cultural and artistic arenas.
