The President witnesses the Activities of the Professional Forum of the Faculty of Pharmacy

Today, Monday, 22/4/2024, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, witnesses the launch of the activities of the Professional Forum of the Faculty of Pharmacy, whose activities will continue for three days, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Abd El-Aal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Dr. Ali Abu Shusha, former Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Dr. Ramadan Al-Doumany, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of  Medicine, and the vices of dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, praises the forum in terms of its role in creating distinguished student work based on awareness and culture among the university’s youth, which is the source of creativity, expressing his gratitude for the effectiveness of the role of pharmacists within society as, the societal view of the pharmacy profession holds full appreciation and respect for the effort made in serving the health sector.

The president adds that the professional scientific conference of the Faculty of Pharmacy represents an opportunity for parties in the pharmaceutical work to meet, with graduates and students of the Faculties of Pharmacy, pointing out that the conference would redraw the pharmaceutical map after the emergence of many fields of pharmaceutical work, which require thousands of pharmacists annually, provided that they are well qualified to join these opportunities, hoping that the Professional Scientific Forum of the Faculty of Pharmacy will be the largest umbrella under which the parties of the pharmaceutical and health services in Egypt meet, and to build partnerships with various health entities, to support the strategic plan of the political leadership, and Egypt’s vision for sustainable development, Egypt 2030, to provide pharmacy students and graduates with everything new in their field, and to bridge the gap between learning and application.

In the same context, Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, stresses the importance of holding these forums within the university’s various faculties, which aim to deepen the relationship between students and graduates and benefit from their experiences, confirming that the university is always working to provide all the necessary capabilities for the Faculty of Pharmacy to perform its mission to the fullest extent and to serve the medical system, and there is great interest in student activities that are clearly reflected in refining their experiences, expanding their awareness, developing their spirit of innovation and creativity, and providing them with opportunities to interact with others inside and outside the university, and they are keen to provide all aspects of support to distinguished students, whether in the scientific field or in the field of activities.

 

Dr. Ramadan Al-Doumany, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, confirms that the forum aims to provide the largest number of career opportunities in various fields for graduates of Faculties of Pharmacy, and to provide direct communication between students and recent graduates in various employment agencies, and to provide an opportunity for new entities in the Egyptian medical sector to announce its activities and needs of graduates.
