Youth Welfare
· The Goals of Youth Care:
Youth care management presents social services for students to help to practice different activities through students’ union. Some of these activities are to do social researches for unable students and pay financial help through social solidarity fund.
This fund aims to achieve social security for students indifferent, participate in executing students’ services and solve the problems that the students face and prevent them from study because of deficiency of financial.
The council of this fund consists of:
1) Two staff members chosen by faculty council annually.
2) The head of youth care department.
3) The union secretary after elections.
They help the student financially and in kind such as eyeglasses or clothes and shoes, faculty fees, dormitory fees, meals and they take them from assistance committee in fund that study the requests and researches special for assistance and the guidance necessary for each case.
The Terms:
1) The student should be systematic.
2) He/she should be Egyptian.
3) The university should not issue disciplinary decisions against him inconsistent with the auspices of fund.
4) He/she should go to new academic year except if the board sees that his/her conditions justify the payment of social assistance.
5) He/she should get research form from youth care department and fill it from students’ affairs department, social unity, and agricultural a statement about the guardian (salary, pension, income return) with sick note or death certificate for the guardian.
The activities for students:
1) The subsidy of university book:
They should provide books and notebooks with suitable price as it will not be burden on students and their parents and they should receive them in suitable time as they can study.
This does through subsidized rate that the university determines and the reduction of books’ prices which can reach to the half of its price.
2) Coupon will be distributed for students by nominal price from university restaurant.
3) Students’ passport:
Youth care department should extract passports for students who want to travel through summer according to papers special for this through sending a delegate from the faculty for immigration department to end this passport for the student.
4) Health care for students:
The medical complex contains 7 outpatient clinics (dental, surgery, orthopedic, ear and nose, conjunctivitis, internal medicine and medical analysis laboratory) + pharmacy for dispensing medicines.
These clinics under the supervision of specialist doctors .
The student should go to the department of students’ affairs to go to the medical complex, but if there are not medical services for the student’s welfare, he/she should go to Mubarak Hospital in Tanta with a letter from the complex and all costs are paid in the case that he is treated in hospital, but half of costs will be paid in the case that he/she buys medicines from the complex or external pharmacy. The student should present purchase documents for youth care department to get money.
