1) An Introduction:
The goals of youth care
The management of youth care presents social services for students and helps them to practice the different activities through the students’ union.
The activities for students:
The health care for students
The student should go to the department of students’ affairs to go to the medical complex, but if there are not medical services for the student’s welfare, he/she should go to Mubarak Hospital in Tanta with a letter from the complex and all costs are paid in the case that he is treated in hospital, but half of costs will be paid in the case that he/she buys medicines from the complex or external pharmacy. Moreover, this complex contains specialized clinics in dental, surgery, bones, Ophthalmology, skin, internal medicine, ear, nose and throat, medical laboratory and pharmacy.
The Students’ Union
It is formed of the systematic organized students who paid the union fees and the foreign students and who belong to it that paid the fees of union has the right to practice aspects of activity without the right of elections and nominations. Moreover, the students’ union seeks to organize the student work.
The aims of students’ union:
The council of students’ union seeks to achieve the goals of students’’ union through seven committees:
1) Students’ families committee.
2) Sportive activity committee.
3) Art activity committee.
4) Cultural activity committee.
5) General Service and Gawalla (group of people gathering in camp) committee.
6) Social activity and trips committee.
7) Science and technology committee
The union council is formed annually under the authority of the dean or its vice from the staff members and the membership of the following:
1) The pioneers of union council committees from the staff.
2) The secretaries and assistant secretaries of union committees of students.
The students elect the members of council containing the secretary and assistant secretary and the head of technical staff for youth care and he/she is the secretary of council fund.
First, student communities committee:
Every community represents a group of students who have intimacy and interdependence and practice much social, art, cultural and sportive activities and according to that, the committee of community concerned with the following:
1) The encouragement of forming student communities and the support of its activities.
2) The organization of programs of communities meeting inside and outside the faculty.
The most important communities’ committee activities:
1) The support and development of spirit of brotherhood and correlation among students.
2) The announcement about the renewal and registration of communities in the youth care department.
3) The establishment of activities and sportive, cultural, social and art competitions among faculty communities.
4) The participation in cultural and sportive league for the communities organized by the general management for the youth care in the university.
5) The establishment of competition for the ideal students among the students of communities.
6) There are cultural and entertainment trips for the different tourist areas.
The stages of community formation:
1) The door for registration for every community is opened through the first month of the academic year and the last time for the accreditation of community is on December and no community can practice its activity except after the decision of the president or the vice president for the affairs of education and students.
2) The student, the community rapporteur, and another student who is representative about every year present a request containing the community goals, the determined program for activity and the sources of finance to one of staff members that they want to form a community by his/her sovereignty.
3) The request is presented over the pioneer of communities committee to get approval for community.
4) After studying the request, it is presented to the dean to get his approval.
5) If he/she agrees, the following shows:
A) The youth care department announces about forming communities for every student through billboards in the students assemblage through a week after the approval.
B) The student who wants to participate in a community, he/she should present a request personally for the youth care department which contains the name, year and address. It will be accredited from the student affairs and it is not allowed to join more than one community.
C) The student should be an organized student who has the terms of union membership and who paid union fees.
D) The names are accredited from the dean and the requests are sent to the university to be accredited, but before that, the community is not allowed to practice its activity.
E) The community which is not adhered to its program or activity or the schedules organizing to the student work, the dean or university management can stop its activity or cancel its group.
In the end of the year, every community does a report about its activity which is accredited from the pioneer of community, the pioneer of student community committee and the dean.
Second, the cultural activity:
It aims to the increase of awareness among students and the organization of cultural activity aspects that lead to the definition of community, the needs for its development and the work for the development of literary and cultural energies for students. The most important activities:
1) The establishment of cultural league among the students of all years and the choice of extinguished students that represent the cultural team for the faculty.
2) The participation in the cultural competitions from the university management and the other institutions.
3) The print of new students guide and the distribution of it for the first year students to know the faculty, the departments and the courses and every thing about the faculty.
4) The print of exams models for the students in the first and second year and the distribution of it free in the youth care department.
5) The print of cultural bulletin about the most important activities of different unions and what is important for students and the distribution of it for students.
6) The establishment of cultural and religious competitions such as Holy Quran competition and Hadiths.
7) The establishment of religious and cultural seminars (wall magazine competition, short story and poetry).
Third, Art Activity Committee:
It aims to the development of art talents and abilities for students and the practice of art activities and hobbies such as performance, song and music and the plastic art such as painting, sculpture and photography. The art activity that the committee does:
1) The participation in the summer student forum for the youth of Kafrelsheikh University for theater art.
2) The participation in the festival of theatre arts for the university over the faculties.
3) The participation in the art activities in agricultural courses organized every year over the faculties of Agriculture.
4) The participation in the art competitions and talents over the faculties.
5) The establishment of art competitions among years in the faculty.
Fourth, the sportive activity:
It aims to spread the sportive awareness among students, satisfy the students’ sport hobbies and the development of their abilities through the participation in matches, competitions and various sport festivals. The sport activities:
1) The establishment of leagues for choosing the sport teams that will participate in leagues and sport festivals.
2) The participation in the sport league for Kafrelsheilkh University in collective and individual play.
3) The establishment of activities and friendly among years in the faculty and other faculties as they host some faculties rather inside the university or the other universities to establish sport day in an atmosphere of relations, friendship and fair competition.
4) The participation in the sport league for agricultural courses that are organized over the faculties of Agriculture.
Fifth, Social activity and trips committee:
It is special for the development of social ties among student, staff and employees, the spread of spirit of cooperation and brotherhood and the organization of trips, social camps and recreational culture that help the students to know the landmarks of home. The most important activities:
1) The establishment of Chess competition over the faculty, the escalation of the winners of first and second place and the participation in competition over the university.
2) The establishment of ideal students’ competition over the faculty and the escalation of winner for the participation in university competition.
3) The participation in social competitions from the university management and other institutions.
4) The participation in training courses (the leadership preparation courses, future youth project and the first aid with the youth ministry).
5) The participation in agricultural course in social activity over the faculties of Agriculture.
6) The organization of blood donation campaign.
Sixth: general service and Gawalla committee
The supreme logo is the general service and it goal is the organization of the aspects of detection and guidance for the spread of awareness among students and the participation in the projects of environment and community service through camps that the committee organizes and that aims to familiarize the student to self-reliance and the development of belonging spirit. The activities are:
1) The establishment of preparation camp for choosing the tribe.
2) The establishment of general service camp.
3) The establishment of environment service camp.
4) The participation in camps for choosing the university tribe.
5) The participation in scout festival in agricultural courses organized over the faculties of Agriculture.
6) The participation in scout festival for trekkers of the faculties.
7) The participation in the national camps for the general service and environment service over the university or province.
Seventh, scientific activity and technology committee:
It does many activities:
1) The exchange of ideas and scientific projects among students.
2) The encouragement of distinguished students in executing their scientific ideas.
3) The raise of the serious competition spirit for students.
4) The spread of awareness about the importance of science and its role in developing the nations.
5) The establishment of competitions in the fields of Mechanics and electronics.
6) The establishment of scientific culture competitions “fiction”, scientific wall magazines, researches, scientific information league and scientific seminars.
The achievements of youth care
The sport activity
· They participate in league in collective and individual games and the faculty gets in bodybuilding the first place in (90 weight), second place in (90 weight) and first place in (75 weight); in athletics, the first place in long jump, second place in gallop (200m), third place in gallop (200m), second place in gallop (800m), third place in gallop (100m) and third place in gallop (400m).
1) The faculty participates in the eighty eight agricultural courses in the Agriculture Faculty, Zagazig University in (football, volleyball and tennis).
The Art activity:
A) The participation in the agricultural course, thirty eight in Zagazig in recital, individual singing and art fair.
B) The participation in the art competitions from the general management for the university youth care.
C) The participation in the first summer theater forum for the university youth in the play (notes of hanged man). The students directed, made decorations and acted in this play. Moreover, the best actor is the student Ahmed Mustafa el Refai; the third best decoration is the student Ahmed Mohammed Badawi and the third best actress is Eman Mahmoud Gazi.
D) The faculty participates in the fourth theater festival by the play Hikabaka. The director is Sabri Asas.
The cultural activity:
A) The participation in the cultural competitions from the university management and other institutions.
B) The participation in the cultural league in the university.
C) The participation in sixth channel competition in the general information among faculties and universities.
D) The participation in cultural competition and a team for general information in the agricultural course in Zagazig.
E) The establishment of wall magazines and cultural handout and the participation in agricultural course in Zagazig. The student Ahmed Sami gets the third place in wall magazine.
F) The faculty associates with the ministry of Awqaf to establish religious seminar to participate in Holy Quran competition because of the first ten days of Dhu al Hijjah, to participate in Prophet’s birthday competition that is organized by the Awqaf prefecture and in swine flu seminar in the faculty of Education.
G) The participation in literary symposium for the students of 2009/2010 in (poetry, Zajal, essay, short story, research and theatrical text).
general service activity:
1) The organization of camp for receiving the new students
2) The choice of tribe in the faculty.
3) The establishment of general service and environment service camp.
4) The participation in the fourth scout instructional course in Suez Cannel University by one student.
The trips and social activity:
A) The participation in social competitions from the university management and the student Ibrahim Mohammed Hadad, the first year, wins the second place over the university by a research about (employment problem).
B) The meeting between the dean, pioneer of youth, staff and the faculty management and the new students in the beginning of first year.
C) The establishment of chess competition over the faculty and the participation university chess competition. The team gets the third place.
D) The organization of many blood donation campaigns with the general hospital and the national center for blood transfusion.
E) The establishment of ideal students’ competition over the faculty and the participation in university ideal students’ competition.
F) The preparation of trip for Cairo and for Dream Bark and the visit of tourist places.
G) The participation in trips that the university organizes (Aswan, Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada).
H) The faculty gets the second place in chess for girl students over the agricultural course in Zagazig and the student Manar Fahmi Fayed wins the first year.
I) The disbursement of financial assistance for students from the social solidarity fund
J) The participation in the ideal mother competitions for distinguished students in the faculty and employees.
K) The participation in World Orphan Day festival with the faculty of Arts and Dar Alorman Association.
Students’ ommunities’ activity
A) They form four communities accredited from the university management.
B) The participation in university communities’ competition in sport, cultural and art activity and the faculty gets advanced places in wall magazine, tennis and art fair.
C) The participation in trips organized by communities’ management.
The scientific and technological activity:
A) The participation in competitions from the university youth care.
B) The participation in digital design competition for graphics in the agricultural course No 38 in Zagazig.
2) Solidarity Fund:
An introduction:
It is one of the social services presented to students to do social researches for the students not able to pay study fees and to pay the moral and financial assistance through the social solidarity fund. This fund aims to achieve the social security differently, execute student services and solve the problems that face students and prevent them from study because of lack of earned income.
The board of directors of social solidarity fund consists of:
1) The agent for the affairs of education and students (head).
2) Two staff members chosen by faculty council.
3) The head of youth care department.
4) The secretary of union after elections.
How to get the subsidy:
The terms:
1) The student should be systematic.
2) He/she should be Egyptian.
3) The university should not issue disciplinary decisions inconsistent with the auspices of fund.
4) He/she should go to new year except if the board sees that his/her conditions justify the payment of social assistance.
5) He/she should bring what proves his/her conditions (social research, the father salary and agricultural holdings).
6) The information source about the student to see how he/she deserves the assistance.
The Procedures:
1) The student fills the form and presents it to the responsible employee of the responsible authority.
2) The social specialist will collect forms and determine session with the board of fund to hold emergency meeting to present the requests from fund.
3) The fund board decides and an agreement is set after searching presented conditions. Besides, they determine the required assistance.
4) The papers and documents go to the manager of youth care management to complete the administrative procedures of assistance.
The fund present financial and moral assistance through the assistance committee that studies the requests and researches and directs what is needed for every condition.
